The term "sustainability" has increased in use across marketing, research, and communications, resulting in infinite interpretations and diluted accountability. We struggle to make decisions and analyze progress, all while ignoring some of the world's oldest and simplest lessons - lessons gifted to us by our lands and waters. In this talk, Dr. Charles will reflect on the lessons he carries from the natural world and Indigenous knowledge systems to guide a necessary rebranding of sustainability.
